If you have multiple Hyperdesk desktop themes on your PC you need to make sure that before you switch from one theme to another, you Restore XP via the Hyperdesk Application first before applying the next theme. I'm not talking about when a theme like DarkMatter: Subspace has multiple themes within it. I'm talking about if you switch from say DarkMatter: Subspace to Hyperdesk Flagship. While we try to skin all the same icons for each theme, some times it doesn't work out that way. What will happen is if Subspace skins image file icons and say another theme doesn't, when you switch to that new theme without restoring XP first, the subspace image file icon will stay there since the other theme doesn't happen to skin that particular icon.

What could end up happening is you have different icons skinned by different themes even though you aren't applying those themes any longer. So just Restore XP first and you won't have that issue occur.
