The Skins Factory designed the Hyperdesk Application to be really simple to use. And it is. But even the most simple applications need to be explained sometimes if a user is unfamiliar with how the system works.

How to use Hyperdesk:

By default, you can simply click the Apply Hypersuite (Tag #6) and apply the default theme. But in many instances, The Skins Factory has added multiple options for a theme.

To access these other options you'll need to click a hyperchanger (Tag #1). These long text buttons show previews of the theme elements and offer extra selection options in some cases. Take the Sony Ericsson Onyx Series hypersuite for example (Shown Above), there are 6 sets of icons to choose from, each one uses a different colored folder tab. It is in the Icon Set hyperchanger that you will decide which icon set you want to apply at any given time.

How to Select an Option for Installation:

Once you've clicked a hyperchanger, you'll notice in some cases a series of thumbnail previews (Tag #2). When you click a thumbnail, a larger preview will be displayed in the large selection below (Tag #3). In order to selection this option for installation, all you have to do is click the large preview image. A Small check box (Tag #4) can then be seen, marking it for installation. Note: Just clicking the thumbnail will not select a theme element for install. You MUST click the large preview image to set it. The small, dark arrows to the left and right of the thumbnails means there are more choices. A light colored arrow means its disabled and you can't scroll in that direction.

There will be times when there is only a single option to choose from. In this case, you'll see a large preview image with no way to select anything else.

Applying Your Choices:

So you've made all the changes you want to make and now you're ready to apply. All you have to do is make sure the hyperchangers you want to implement have a yellow button with a check mark (Tag #5) selected and then click Apply Hypersuite (Tag #6). If you don't want to apply a hyperchanger then simply click the check mark and an X will appear. This hyperchanger will not apply.

Very Important:
If you're like us, you'll change your theme elements often. If you do not want the Windows Media Player 11 skin or a widget to reapply, then you must uncheck the button (Tag #5) otherwise it will relaunch the Windows Media Player 11 skin or place another widget file onto your desktop.

Restoring Windows XP or Vista:

Simply click the Restore Windows XP or Restore Vista if applicable (Tag #7) button and wait. It's that easy. It's also very important to restore your OS theme via the Hyperdesk application if you're changing to a new theme or uninstalling it all together. This resets all of the icons. If one theme skins more icons than the next one you're switching too then the old theme's icon will stay in the old theme's style.
